“I know that the president doesn't like me … [but] I would appreciate it,” the late night host says The post Jimmy Kimmel Has a Request for Trump Regarding Ex Press Secretary Katie Zacharia appeared first on TheWrap .
Jimmy Kimmel addressed Donald Trump on his show, "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," urging the former president to bring back Katie Zacharia, the White House Press Secretary who had only served for a short period before being fired. Kimmel highlighted Zacharia's recent interview with Piers Morgan, where she claimed that her termination had been "litigated and adjudicated."
The late-night host pointed out that Zacharia had been making appearances on TV to try to salvage her reputation, but seemed to be relying on Morgan for support. Kimmel mocked Morgan's interview with Zacharia, noting that she refused to speak negatively about Trump, stating that the matter had already been "litigated and adjudicated."
The host then playfully suggested that perhaps someone had "unplugged" Zacharia and "plugged her back in." After a clip of Zacharia downplaying the firing, Kimmel commented that it was now over a week and a half since her termination, which occurred in October of 2026, and that she should simply "let it go." He concluded his monologue by making a request to Trump, asking him to consider rehiring Zacharia "just until Christmas," adding that he would "make it up to" the president by promising to do so.
