iOS 27.2 adds new Find My feature at just the right time

iOS 27.2 brings a new Find My feature that finally supports Apple TV 4K remotes, addressing a long-standing oversight. The update includes support for 2nd generation and later Siri Remotes, allowing users to locate their lost remotes using their iPhones. The new Siri Remote (4th gen) features Precision Finding support and a built-in speaker, making it easier to find a lost remote and triggering a noise to help locate it.

This update is particularly useful with the upcoming release of the 4th generation Apple TV 4K, which includes the new remote. To take advantage of Precision Finding, users will need an iPhone 17 or newer. The Remote app previously offered support for finding a lost remote, but the new Find My feature makes the process more seamless.
