Hong Kong launches government funded Festival of Connoisseurs

Hong Kong inaugurated the Festival of Connoisseurs (TFOC) from November 4 to 6, 2026, at AsiaWorld-Expo, marking the first international flagship exhibition backed by governmental funding. This event, organized by Informa Markets and AsiaWorld-Expo, aims to position Hong Kong as the premier platform for showcasing Mainland and international brands under the "City-as-your-showroom" concept.

TFOC encompasses premium lifestyle themes such as superyachts, supercars, fine jewelry, watches, private aviation, premium travel, and fine art.

The festival breaks away from traditional indoor exhibition formats, integrating showcases with Victoria Harbour and waterfront experiences. This approach allows brands, buyers, connoisseurs, and the general public to engage in various ways. TFOC also includes three linked public events on November 1 to 8, 2026, including Marina Fest – A Taste of Experience on November 1, where the public can board a guided Victoria Harbour cruise free of charge.

Other events include the Festival of Connoisseurs exhibition at AsiaWorld-Expo, AsiaWorld-Expo Halls 3 & 6, and the Lantau Yacht Club Boat Show 2026 from November 6 to 8.

The opening ceremony on November 4 will feature senior government officials, including Chief Executive Officer of Airport Authority Hong Kong, Mrs Vivian Cheung Kar-fay, JP, and Mr Patrick Martell, Group Chief Operating Officer and Informa Markets Chief Executive. Highlights include expert talks on watch collecting, the Michelin Guide, and the craft of hospitality.

The festival aims to drive the economic growth of Hong Kong's convention and exhibition sector and related industries, contributing to the city's status as an international convention and exhibition hub.
