Hakimi bags hattrick as PSG crush Le Havre
The final goal of the hattrick went through a forest of players in the 69th minute as Paris Saint-Germain thumped rock-bottom Le Havre 5-1 in Ligue 1.
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) striker Achraf Hakimi scored a remarkable hat-trick, leading his team to a decisive 5-1 victory over Le Havre in Ligue 1. The champions, who currently sit atop the table with 20 points after nine games, extended their lead to four points over nearest rivals Rennes, who suffered a 5-2 defeat at the hands of Nice.
Le Havre, currently at the bottom of the table, managed to equalise early in the match when Josh Maja found the net in the 18th minute. However, Hakimi quickly restored PSG's lead shortly after with a blistering low drive. The European champions continued to dominate, with Hakimi adding two more goals to his tally - a free-kick and a powerful long-range shot - to seal the win.
In the final stages, Hakimi was substituted off by coach Luis Enrique, who opted to bench stars Desire Doue, Vitinha, and Joao Neves, while Ousmane Dembele and Georgian attacker Khvicha Kvaratskhelia were absent due to injury.
