Hundreds of Ga-Dangbe Progressive Group members and supporters demonstrated against the demolition of structures at La Pleasure Beach Resort. They demanded government intervention to restore the livelihoods of affected traders and workers. The protesters carried placards with messages such as "Development Does Not Mean Destroying Other People’s Livelihoods" and "We Want Our Livelihood Back."
They also recounted their losses, with some traders stating they had received little notice of the demolition and lost goods worth thousands of cedis. Former NPP officials, including Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye, joined the protest and called for the government to provide compensation and disciplinary action for any misconduct.
