Cursor says up to 5,000 users affected by tampered Claude Code extension
Claude often repeats the phrase "load-bearing" in conversations, which has been a recurring issue in the Claude Code issue tracker with 220 complaints since July. Another common phrase is "Two things…", which has appeared in 97,099 issues. Additionally, users frequently request that Claude responses be verifiable instead of falsifiable.
These phrases are temporary and disappear when the conversation is idle or a new session begins, causing users to recreate their instructions manually. To address this problem, our team developed a tool called nomore, which is a small CLI that identifies frequently repeated instructions and helps convert them into CLAUDE.md rules.
Using npx @globalmpc/nomore, users can scan their Claude Code transcripts to see which instructions are repeated, how often, and when they were last used. The tool also highlights any rules in CLAUDE.md that Claude ignores. Users can then choose to approve, reject, or edit the suggestions. The process runs locally without any uploads or additional LLM usage.
However, not every repeated phrase is a rule, so users must manually confirm each change. The development of nomore was based on a project CLAUDE.md that was given to Claude Code, which wrote 33 out of 35 commits in TypeScript with 125 tests. While Claude Code made some mistakes, such as grouping 1,489 unrelated issues into one group, the tool is free and licensed under MIT.
