BYH exhibition concludes seventh edition with over 16,000 visitors

Doha recently concluded the seventh edition of the Build Your House Exhibition (BYH), organized under the leadership of H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister. The exhibition, inaugurated by H.E. Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani, the Minister of Commerce and Industry, attracted over 16,000 visitors over three days. It featured more than 250 exhibitors, showcasing a total of 15,000 square meters of exhibition space.

This year's BYH saw the expansion of sponsorship participation, with renowned brands ABYAT and Tivoli making their debut. The event saw significant industry announcements, such as the launch of Qatar Post's new "Sandooqi" service, which provides a secure and flexible way to receive deliveries.

Co-Founder and General Manager of NeXTfairs, Rawad Sleem, expressed satisfaction with the record turnout, stating that it signifies the growing importance of BYH as a platform connecting Qatari homeowners and industry experts. For the next edition, scheduled for October 3-6, 2027, NeXTfairs plans to extend the event to four days and relocate it to the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC), which will offer more space and increased participation opportunities.

On the final day, Minister of Municipality, H.E. Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiya, visited the exhibition to explore the latest solutions and innovations in the residential construction sector. The conference, held in partnership with the Qatar Society of Engineers, facilitated knowledge exchange and expert discussions on residential construction, renovation, interior design, and legal and administrative procedures for building homes.

Kahramaa, a major energy provider in Qatar, participated in the exhibition, engaging with visitors and showcasing its services in the electricity and water sectors. This participation allowed Kahramaa to raise awareness about sustainability and efficient resource utilization, aligning with Qatar National Vision 2030.

The Ministry of Social Development and Family, through its Family Empowerment Department, also participated in BYH 2026, demonstrating its commitment to supporting productive families and bolstering their role in economic development. Eight national enterprises were present, highlighting the Ministry's efforts to expand marketing opportunities and strengthen collaborations for enterprise sustainability and growth.
