Which MLB teams have never won a World Series? Brewers come off list
The Milwaukee Brewers won their first World Series championship. Here's the MLB franchises still waiting to win their first title.
Milwaukee Brewers have finally ended a long wait to add a World Series championship to their history after defeating the Tampa Bay Rays in the 2026 series. The franchise, previously known as the Seattle Pilots from 1969 until moving to Milwaukee in 1970, had previously reached the World Series in 1982 but lost to St. Louis Cardinals. Only five MLB teams had never won a championship until their victory, including the Rays who have made the World Series in 2008, 2020 and most recently 2026.
