Saras mela resumes after remaining closed on Wednesday

The National SARAS Mela-2026, held at Punnami Ghat in Vijayawada, resumed operations on Thursday after being shut down on Wednesday due to rainfall alerts issued for the city. District Collector G. Lakshmisha announced that the event, which commenced on October 15, will conclude on October 31. She encouraged the public to utilize the remaining two days to visit the exhibition and showcase their support for women entrepreneurs.

During her visit, Lakshmisha engaged with Lakhpati Didis from various states, seeking information on sales and visitor feedback. The exhibition featured an extensive array of products crafted by women from self-help groups, encompassing handicrafts, traditional artifacts, household items, textiles, and region-specific items.
