The San Miguel GS golf tournament took place on October 28, 2026 at Saurines de la Torre. The day began with pleasant weather and plenty of first-tee optimism. Lola's Cafeteria & Bar provided pre-golf coffees, as the 19th Hole was closed unexpectedly. Despite a lively breeze, the course remained exceptional and was praised by the Saurines team.

A field of 41 golfers, including one guest, participated in the event, with many choosing to walk rather than take a buggy. The walkers found the experience rewarding, as the course was exceptional even with the busy period. Refreshments were enjoyed at Lola's sunny terrace after the round. The top three finishers were Gavin Parke (Gold), John Moore (Silver), and Carmel McCann (Bronze), with some joint scores.

The Twos Pot was won by Captain Paul Lambert and Keven Mitchell, while Nearest the Pins was shared by several golfers. Pete Baldwin's choice of Liverpool won the football-card pot. Marit Ronsen won the McBride Bottle and will enjoy it. The RBL Poppy Appeal Blob Tin was closed, and the final amount raised will be announced next week.

NTP balls were donated by the RBL Poppy Appeal, with proceeds going to a future cause of Prostate Cancer UK. The next Blob Tin will support Prostate Cancer UK. Winners were pictured, and SMGS expressed gratitude to their supporters.
