Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappe sets new La Liga benchmark with remarkable record

Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe has set a new benchmark in La Liga with an astonishing record. The French superstar, under the guidance of Jose Mourinho, has demonstrated his attacking prowess like never before. Mbappe's explosive pace has been a key factor in improving Real Madrid's offensive performances. He consistently gets into positions that other attackers struggle to reach, making him a constant threat in one-on-one situations.

Mbappe's top speed this season stands at an impressive 36.3 km/h, surpassing every other player in La Liga. Only Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies has outpaced him in Europe’s five major leagues, reaching a top speed of 36.7 km/h. However, Mbappe shares the top spot with several other players, including Ronald Araujo from Liverpool, Marcus Thuram of Inter Milan, and Naouirou Ahamada from Auxerre, all of whom have attained a top speed of 36.3 km/h.

Despite his age, the 27-year-old Frenchman continues to be one of the world's fastest players. His game is built around his pace, which he uses to outmaneuver defenders. Mourinho has found ways to exploit Mbappe's biggest strength, capitalizing on his ability to turn on the afterburners during quick transitions. This has led to Mbappe's impressive goal tally of 11 goals in just ten La Liga appearances this season, including crucial goals in Madrid’s recent victories over Barcelona.

Mbappe's effectiveness lies not just in his speed but also in his ability to recognize when to unleash it. Real Madrid's tactical set-up, which involves settling into compact defensive structures, creates opportunities for Mbappe to receive the ball swiftly and exploit space. Players like Jude Bellingham, Arda Guler, and Bernardo Silva provide the vision and technical quality needed to release Mbappe at the perfect moment.

As long as Mbappe remains onside, few defenders worldwide can keep up with his footspeed in a one-on-one scenario.

While his movement remains his most valuable asset, Mbappe is acutely aware that his legs may not maintain this pace forever, especially as he ages. Elite players have learned to adapt and still influence games even when their speed begins to slow down. It remains to be seen how Mbappe's game will evolve as his career progresses, but for now, he remains an unstoppable force on the field.
