Quartalszahlen: MTU Aero Engines dank guter Geschäfte für 2026 optimistischer

MTU Aero Engines, the jet engine manufacturer, expressed optimism about its 2026 revenue outlook following strong growth in the first nine months of the year. The DAX company cited high demand, particularly for aircraft maintenance, and a favorable exchange rate with the dollar as key drivers behind its revised sales forecast for 2026.

CEO Katja Garcia Vila stated that they anticipate achieving a revenue of 9.5 to 9.7 billion euros for the year. This represents an increase from their previous expectation of a net revenue between 9.2 and 9.7 billion euros. In the first nine months alone, MTU's net revenue grew by 13% to reach 7.1 billion euros. Operating profit (EBIT) increased by 5% to just over one billion euros, while net profit after tax rose by 4% to 751 million euros.

Growth was primarily driven by civil maintenance and the replacement parts business, for which MTU updated its outlook. However, expectations for commercial series business were lowered, while the outlook for military business remained unchanged. As of the end of September, the order backlog stood at 29.8 billion euros, unchanged from the previous year.
