Osun philanthropist offers scholarships to Toluwanisings’ children, housing for father

Ibraheem Luqman, a philanthropist and All Peoples Movement senatorial candidate for Osun Central, has pledged to provide housing for the late gospel singer Toluwanisings' father, Muniru Adekunle Olayemi, and to offer scholarships for the singer's two children. This generous gesture came about after public concern was raised over the living conditions of the elder Olayemi, following the circulation of images and videos showcasing his home's state on social media.

Luqman's campaign organization announced his intentions in a statement, explaining that a team had been dispatched to meet with the elderly man in Ikirun, Osun State, to discuss his commitment to supporting the family. The philanthropist expressed his desire to relocate the elderly Olayemi to a comfortable apartment within Ikirun, ensuring he could live in a more dignified environment for at least two years.

Furthermore, Luqman pledged to cover the educational expenses of the late singer's two daughters, ensuring their future is secured despite their loss. The statement noted that while the offer of housing and scholarships is an intention, it has not yet been implemented. The singer, Toluwanisings, passed away on October 14, 2026, in Ibadan, Oyo State, after reportedly collapsing.

His death sparked public concern, with conflicting accounts surrounding the circumstances of his passing. The singer was remembered as one of Ikirun's stars, and his family continues to deal with both personal and public disputes over his burial arrangements.
