The Milwaukee Brewers clinched their first-ever championship on Wednesday night, defeating the Tampa Bay Rays 4-1 in Game 5 of the 2026 World Series held at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. Rays manager Kevin Cash commended Milwaukee's bullpen, describing it as "elite" and acknowledging their consistent challenge throughout the series.

One standout reliever was Aaron Ashby, who logged 15 2/3 scoreless innings, setting a new postseason record for consecutive scoreless innings at the start of a postseason. Trevor Megill and Abner Uribe also delivered vital performances in crucial late-inning innings.
