Mbah presents manifesto performance, says Enugu has regained confidence

Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah has dismissed claims that he ordered the denial of a private facility for a town hall meeting by the Obi-Kwankwaso movement. In a Facebook post, Mbah stated that he did not give any such directive. The allegation stems from a video circulating online, where Princess Ada Ogbu, a candidate for the Enugu East senatorial seat of the Nigerian Democratic Congress, NDC, alleged that attempts were being made to prevent the meeting, which is expected to feature former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi.

Mbah expressed confusion over the reported incident, commenting that he was unaware of any such development. He accused the opposition of resorting to desperate measures to garner public attention. Mbah affirmed that while democracy guarantees freedom of expression, it does not permit the defamation of others. He emphasized that there are boundaries that should not be crossed, asserting that such redlines must be respected.
