John Stamos Spin-off Group California Sound to Replace Beach Boys at Epcot Gig Amid Mike Love’s Health Issues
The Full House star and frequent Beach Boys collaborator will take the stage at the Eat to the Beat event on Nov. 11-12.
After actor John Stamos' longtime friend and Beach Boys singer Mike Love announced he was battling "serious health challenges," Stamos announced that he would step in to replace the band during their appearance at Epcot Center in Orlando, Fla. The details of Love's condition remain undisclosed, as the Beach Boys spokesperson has not yet provided any additional information.
Stamos, who has been a part of the Beach Boys for over four decades and has occasionally played drums for the band, highlighted Love's determination to remain on stage despite doctors, family, and friends urging him to prioritize his health. The Ryman show in Nashville, where Love appeared frail while performing from a chair, prompted Stamos to share his thoughts via an Instagram post.
The Beach Boys' next scheduled show, set for November 13 at Hard Rock Live in Bristol, Va., still lists the group as headliners. Their other show on the current roster is scheduled for May 8, 2027, at River Cree Resort and Casino in Enoch, Alberta, Canada.
