iOS 27.2, released this week, has introduced several new features for Siri AI, FaceTime, Messages, and the Shortcuts app. The latter has seen some noteworthy enhancements. In addition to iPhone Duo updates, iOS 27.2 also brought a significant automation capability to Shortcuts. Users can now automate actions based on whether their iPhone is opened or closed.
This feature, detailed in Apple's release notes for Shortcuts, has been well-received. Other improvements include expanded language support for the "Use Model" feature. Earlier, it was only English, but now it also includes French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish. The changes in iOS 27.2 offer users more flexibility and personalization options.
