Info Edge reports steady growth; Reimagining everyday consumer products

Info Edge, a prominent Indian tech company, reported consistent growth in its Q2 results. The company's revenue increased by 12.2% compared to the previous year, reaching Rs 903.9 crore, while its net profit surged by 87% to Rs 649.8 crore. This growth was primarily attributed to expanding its flagship recruitment platform, 99acres, and stable progress in matchmaking services.

However, the education segment of the business is still grappling with challenges. Info Edge is currently undergoing a leadership transition, with CEO Hitesh Oberoi set to step down on December 2 after a 27-year tenure, and founder Sanjeev Bikhchandani taking on an expanded executive role from December 3, pending shareholder approval.

In related news, Info Edge operates various consumer platforms such as Naukri (online recruitment), 99acres (property listings), Jeevansathi and Aisle (matchmaking), and Shiksha (education services). The company has also invested in other ventures, including Eternal (Zomato), PB Fintech (Policybazaar), and Gnani.ai, reflecting a diversified portfolio of operating performance and investment values.
