Ikea's Varmblixt smart lamp, with its playful donut-shaped design, has quickly become a favorite among consumers for its versatility and affordability. The lamp, originally priced at $99.99, is currently on sale for $79.99, a $20 discount, and will be available through November 11th at Ikea. The lamp can be purchased either placed on a table or mounted on a wall, utilizing its power button for on/off functionality.
The Varmblixt offers 12 preset color options, featuring shades of pink, blue, green, and white, an improvement over its predecessor which only offered orange. A wireless remote control allows users to change colors, adjust brightness, and turn the lamp on or off without the need for an app or a separate hub.
Moreover, the lamp supports Matter technology, enabling seamless integration with various smart home platforms such as Apple Home, Google Home, and Amazon Alexa. This feature not only allows voice control but also provides access to hundreds of additional color options, custom lighting schedules, and routines including wake-up and sleep modes, and the ability to pair with motion sensors and other smart lights.
The lamp can be operated through Ikea’s Dirigera hub or the Home Smart app, which gradually adjusts the lamp's white shade throughout the day, mimicking natural daylight.
