Grêmio and Athletico-PR are set to clash on Thursday (29) at the Arena in Porto Alegre, with the match being the final fixture of Matchday 33 in the 2026 Brasileirão. Grêmio finds themselves in the relegation zone, sitting at 17th place with only 34 points, while Athletico-PR sits comfortably in fourth with 54 points.

Grêmio needs a second consecutive victory to push Inter, who have 35 points, into the relegation zone. Conversely, Athletico-PR currently leads the table with 54 points, despite going two matches without a win. Cruzeiro and Fluminense are tied at 48 points, but the Minas Gerais side have the edge due to more wins (16 to 15). Athletico-PR, on the other hand, finds themselves one place below on goal difference (+12 to +10), compared to their last match where they drew 1-1 with Vitória.

When looking at the lineups, Athletico-PR has made substitutions, bringing in Arthur Dias, Léo Derik, and Portilla in place of Bruno, Gilberto, and Jadson. Grêmio, meanwhile, have opted for João Pedro and Enamorado as replacements for Diego Caito and Pavón.
