The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Smart City Housing Lahore to construct a residential development along Multan Road. The agreement was signed by FGEHA Director General Captain (Retd.) Zafar Iqbal and Faiz Umar, Director Joint Venture of FGEHA, and Sardar Adil Umar, representative of Smart City Housing Lahore.
This project will be developed using an End-Product/Turnkey Model, where the private partner is responsible for completing the scheme according to agreed specifications. Smart City Housing Lahore, a LDA-approved housing scheme near Bahria Enclave on Multan Road, will be the private partner in this venture. FGEHA Director General Zafar Iqbal expressed that this collaboration would enhance housing options for federal government employees in Lahore.
He also mentioned that the project could potentially expand in the future if additional land becomes available, providing more eligible employees with opportunities. FGEHA is actively working on developing new residential schemes across Pakistan through partnerships with private developers. Iqbal highlighted that these joint ventures enable the authority to leverage private-sector expertise and resources, which improves project delivery and increases housing options for eligible applicants.
