Eagles RB Saquon Barkley Draws Strong Criticism Over Giants Exit Comments
Fans called out Eagles running back Saquon Barkley over recent comments made about his time with the New York Giants.
Saquon Barkley, a three-time Pro Bowl selection and Super Bowl winner, spent his first six seasons with the New York Giants before joining the Philadelphia Eagles. In a 2023 Amazon Prime Video documentary, Barkley stated that the Giants declined his trade request and that he felt undervalued during contract negotiations with the Giants.
He subsequently signed a three-year, $37.75 million deal with the Eagles in 2024, which included $26 million guaranteed. The Eagles' struggles this season, coupled with injuries to key players, have led to speculation about Barkley's future with the team.
