Golden State secured a 64-55 victory over the Dream in Game 5 of the 2026 WNBA Finals, moving them one step closer to their first championship. Kiah Stokes and Veronica Burton played pivotal roles for the Valkyries, with Stokes contributing significantly from beyond the arc.
The Valkyries face a challenging task in Game 6, as they will have to overcome a passionate home crowd and the absence of a home crowd. Golden State, buoyed by their recent success, will be looking to maintain their momentum in the deciding game. Angel Reese's performance will be critical, particularly in the face of Stokes' defensive prowess. The Dream will need improved offensive output to stand any chance of pulling off an upset.
