CP tycoon gives Nene Royal gold Buddha as she receives US$1.2m condo

Bangkok – CP Group's senior chairman, Dhanin Chearavanont, recently presented 16-year-old Thai musician Nene Royal with a gold Buddha statue and his blessings as her family prepares to relocate into a luxurious condominium valued at 35 million baht (US$1.2 million). Nene, who turns 16 on 14 March 2026, visited the Mulberry Grove The Forestias Condominiums on Thursday, 29 October, to receive the keys to her new family residence.

On her social media, Nene expressed that this day was particularly significant, as it marked the occasion when Dhanin gifted the family the condominium, alongside the gold Buddha image and blessings for their move. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment spans approximately 98.69 square meters and was reportedly provided to Nene’s family prior to their departure for the United States to compete in America’s Got Talent.

Born in Phuket on 14 March 2010, Nene, whose real name is Rattikan Amloy, began teaching herself to play the guitar through YouTube tutorials from a young age. She started performing publicly under the stage name Nene Royal at the age of 12. Nene Royal's talents have garnered her international recognition, notably when she participated in Thai television talent show Super 10 in 2022 and subsequently competed in the Overdrive Guitar Contest, where she secured second place in 2023.

Nene's global fame skyrocketed in 2026 when she appeared on America’s Got Talent, impressing the judges with her guitar skills and emotive vocals. She earned a Golden Buzzer from judge Mel B and ultimately emerged victorious, becoming the first Thai contestant to win the American talent competition.
