Australia is continuing its batting on day three of the deciding Test in Cape Town, aiming to build upon its first-innings lead over South Africa. Both The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald report that the team is working to establish a significant lead at Newlands.
According to ABC News, Australia's disciplined batting has placed them in a strong position, noting that South Africa's first innings score was as much as 150 runs short of a par score on a pitch that has offered little assistance to bowlers. With six second-innings wickets remaining, ABC News suggests Australia is looking toward a lead potentially between 100 and 200 runs.
