All consumers in Konotop re-energized, electricity supplied on a rotating basis – Ukrenergo

Residents of Konotop, located in Sumy region, have finally regained access to electricity after a prolonged outage that began on October 24. The city's power supply, which had been completely cut off, is now being restored on a rotating basis, according to Ukrenergo. This means that electricity is being delivered in a staggered fashion, with different consumer groups receiving power at different times.

Ukrenergo expressed gratitude to all those who contributed to the successful restoration of power, commending their professionalism and coordinated efforts.

Sumyoblenergo, the local distribution system operator, explained that while some households are being re-energized, the process is still ongoing. Due to repair work on energy facilities, certain consumers may experience power interruptions that differ from the usual schedules. Consequently, electricity may reach homes through various lines, some of which may not adhere to the standard hourly outage schedules. These lines are typically dedicated to critical infrastructure facilities.

The distribution system operator cautioned consumers that despite the restoration of power, emergency shutdowns remain a possibility. The Ministry of Energy reported that Russia continues to target Ukraine's energy infrastructure, leading to new blackouts in frontline and border regions, particularly in Donetsk, Sumy, and Kharkiv.

Additionally, the Ministry highlighted that equipment damage in Kyiv and Kyiv region has necessitated emergency shutdowns, with a return to predictable power schedules expected once the power grid stabilizes.
