Afterlife With Archie Lives Again in New Mausoleum Edition Hardcover

Afterlife With Archie is experiencing a successful resurgence following its original run in 2013. The comic series, written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and illustrated by Francesco Francavilla, reimagines beloved Riverdale characters as horror anti-heroes. The animated series adaptation is set to premiere on Disney+ in 2027.

To celebrate this classic revamp, Oni Press and Archie Comics are launching a new hardcover edition called Afterlife With Archie: Mausoleum Edition. The Kickstarter campaign for Volume 1 is now live, offering fans exclusive previews of the artwork featured in this set. These include posters and glow-in-the-dark cover art. The exclusive artwork, remastered by Francavilla himself, showcases the complete interior artwork and covers of Afterlife With Archie #1-6 in black and white on a full-scale comics artboard.

The Kickstarter campaign also includes a range of optional bonuses such as signed copies from Aguirre-Sacasa and Francavilla, T-shirts, enamel pins, and reprints of individual issues. IGN has reviewed the rebooted Archie comics, including the first three volumes of the series.
