2026 Week 8 rooting guide for Cowboys fans
What are you rooting for this week outside of Cowboys over Cardinals?
With Dallas' hard-fought victory over the Eagles, NFC East fans have cause for cautious optimism. The win maintains Dallas' position in the playoff race, though the Giants still hold a slight edge. Dallas' next challenge is a home game against the 2-5 Arizona Cardinals, a team with a historically tough record against Dallas. While Arizona isn't at its best this season, the Cowboys will need to secure a win to maintain their .500 mark.
The upcoming NFC East matchups, including the Commanders, Giants, Panthers, and Seahawks, present opportunities for Dallas to gain ground on the leading teams. Meanwhile, the intriguing interconference games include a Chargers' loss to the Rams, which could benefit the Cowboys in the AFC wildcard standings.
