World Series Game 5 live score, updates, highlights from Brewers vs. Rays in 2026 MLB playoffs

Tampa Bay Rays staged a dramatic comeback in Game 4 of the 2026 MLB playoffs, defeating the Milwaukee Brewers 4-3 in extra innings. The Rays, who trailed 3-1 in the series, are now facing a challenging road to victory as they prepare for Game 5 against their opponents. Tampa Bay's success came courtesy of a crucial bottom of the 12th inning performance, which staved off elimination.

The team will rely on ace pitcher Drew Rasmussen, who has been rested for the crucial matchup, hoping he can replicate his impressive Game 2 performance. The Rays' offense has been struggling, scoring just 11 runs in four games and managing a single home run throughout the series. To compensate, players like Yandy Diaz and Junior Caminero will be vital in carrying the team's offense.

In contrast, Milwaukee's Game 5 starter, Jacob Misiorowski, will be making his playoff debut, having yet to pitch outside of Milwaukee this October. The Brewers have their eyes on ending the series before it reaches a potential Game 6, as no World Series team has forced a seventh game after falling 3-0, which the Rays are currently down.
