Words of Prey: Perfect Seahawks extend perfect season with perfect shellacking of imperfect Chiefs

The Seattle Seahawks defense dominated the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football, extending their perfect season to 7-0. The Seattle defense is currently undefeated, with only the team itself on a perfect run. The Seahawks' defense is considered exceptional, with zero losses all year. They have managed to prevent the Chiefs from entering the red zone, forcing turnovers and causing the Chiefs to run out of players.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba, the Seahawks' wide receiver, has been an outstanding performer and is on pace to surpass Calvin Johnson's all-time receiving record. The Seahawks rank first or second in various defensive statistics, including defensive DVOA, yards per play, net yards per attempt, passing first downs, and average depth of target.

They have forced 12 turnovers and cause interceptions and fumbles on 5% of plays, resulting in opponents running only 15% of their snaps against Seattle. However, the defense struggles in the eleventh drive of the game, as opposing teams employ capable coaching staffs to counter the Seahawks' defense. The offense must focus on ball security to maintain their perfect season.
