Dallas Mavericks' Cooper Flagg has been breaking records and impressing fans since entering his sophomore season, leading some, including former Mavericks leader Jeff Teague, to compare him favorably to established superstars. Speaking on the Club 520 podcast, Teague initially apologized to Flagg for previous comments and then went on to compare Flagg with stars such as LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo, ultimately stating that Flagg is "more exciting" to watch than Luka Doncic.
Teague explained that while Luka is "cold," Flagg's dunking and overall play are more captivating, leading him to say, "Boy, you about to be LeBron." At just 20 years old, Flagg is already averaging 25 points, 6.3 assists, and 5.3 rebounds per game, and has become one of the league's best two-way players. His impressive start to the season has already earned comparisons to LeBron James, with ESPN's Brian Windhorst praising Flagg's defender, jumper, and defensive versatility. For now, Flagg will focus on helping his team win games in the regular season.
