US Proposed Demilitarized Zones in Donbas, Zelensky Says
President Volodymyr Zelensky said the US had proposed demilitarized zones in Donbas and on part of the Kinburn Spit during peace negotiations. Ukraine was prepared to discuss a compromise involving a zone on both sides of the front line. The ideas appeared in successive negotiating documents, but no agreement on the territorial issues has been reached.
