US-Iran War Live Updates: Iran says oil tanker caught fire after hitting mines east of Hormuz

Iran announced an oil tanker caught fire due to a mine explosion east of the Strait of Hormuz. Iran's Hormuz authority stated they would take action against a shipping company, though the details remain unclear. The Strait of Hormuz, a vital route for oil shipping, is currently at the center of escalating tensions.

In Moscow, Qatar's ruler and Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian discussed the ongoing war and the status of the strait. The talks aimed to address the situation but had not yielded significant progress by the time of the report. Oil prices saw a minor decline of 1% during the day.
