According to a last-minute claim on Weibo by leaker "Fixed Focus Digital," Apple's upcoming touchscreen MacBook Pro will feature hinge improvements related to changes planned for future iPhone Duo models. The improved hinge design is said to be related to plans for the second- and third-generation iPhone Duo, and aligns with Bloomberg's Mark Gurman's reporting of a redesigned mechanism to keep the display steady during touch input.
The new MacBook Pro is expected to use a dual-layer OLED display and carry a substantial price increase, with a starting price of $2,899 for the 14-inch model with an M5 Pro chip. The announcement of the redesigned MacBook Pro models is expected later today during the Pro and tell media experience in Los Angeles.
