Australian punk band The Chats have unveiled details of their upcoming album Half Cut. Recorded in Los Angeles at Maple Sound Studio with producer Jay Whalley of Frenzal Rhomb, Half Cut follows 2022's Get Fucked. The lead single, "Off It," is now available. Vocalist Eamon Sandwith describes the new record as a "progression" from their previous work, though he declines to label it "mature."
The full album features 14 tracks, including "Brown Bottle Flu," "Hanging Shit," and "Chronic Condition." Half Cut will be released on March 5, 2027, via Virgin Music Group. The group will embark on a series of US tour dates starting on November 13, 2026.
