Real Madrid face major obstacle as Liverpool plan contract renewal for midfield target – report

Real Madrid faces a significant hurdle as Liverpool prepare to offer a contract renewal to midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, according to a report. The Merseyside club is determined to retain the influential player, who has continued to excel under the current deal until 2028. This development poses a challenge for Real Madrid, who are on their list of transfer targets but must contend with the financial demands and Liverpool's reluctance to part with a valuable asset.

Mac Allister, 27, has already made a substantial impact this season, playing 12 matches, scoring four goals, and providing one assist across competitions. Real Madrid and other clubs like Atletico Madrid and Manchester City have shown interest in Mac Allister, adding to the difficulty of a potential transfer.
