Penn State linebacker Rojas anchoring Nittany Lion defense through losing streak

Tony Rojas remains committed to Penn State despite the Nittany Lions' four-game losing streak. Rojas, the star linebacker, once believed the team could contend for a Big Ten championship. Now, he simply hopes for a conference win and a bowl appearance. With a Big Ten title seemingly unattainable, the team will need a victory against Purdue on Saturday.

Rojas, who returned from a knee injury last season, has been instrumental in anchoring the defense. He leads the team in tackles, tackles for loss, and sacks, and holds the record for six interceptions in his career. Rojas' confidence remains strong, and he emphasizes the importance of having fun and supporting his teammates. The Nittany Lions are on pace for just 15 sacks this season, far below their totals in previous years. Rojas aims to contribute more from the edge to help the team improve its performance.
