‘No successful person wants to retire in Nigeria’ — Blaqbonez

Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has declared that no accomplished individual desires to spend their retirement in Nigeria. During an appearance on The Zeze Millz Show, the artist, whose real name is Emeka Akumefule, described Nigeria as "hectic" and attributed his observation to travels abroad that highlighted the country's need for improvement. He emphasized, "Nigeria is hectic, but it is still home. When you go to other countries, you will realize how far we are from where we should be."

When discussing his personal retirement aspirations, Blaqbonez expressed difficulty envisioning successful people choosing to remain in Nigeria post-retirement. He stated, "I don't think that there is any successful person who wants to live in Nigeria after retirement. Maybe there are some people," acknowledging that exceptions might exist. Furthermore, he revealed his vision for retirement: residing on a spacious ranch and raising livestock, a lifestyle he perceived as incompatible with Nigeria's current circumstances.
