Jennifer Lopez to Release New Single ‘Proof of Love’: ‘It’s a Happy Dance Song’ That Also Addresses ‘Pain and Grief When Someone’s Gone’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Jennifer Lopez is preparing to honor the 15th anniversary of her seventh studio album, Love?, with the release of its first-ever vinyl edition. The set will be available in three collectible formats, each featuring a new dance song called "Proof of Love." Lopez revealed to Variety that the inspiration for the track came from her twins, Max and Emme (now Oskar), embarking on their college journey.

The singer shared that the song is a unique blend of happiness and melancholy, capturing the mixed emotions of facing life without her children. "It’s a very happy era album," Lopez added. The 2011 Love? album, co-written with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, produced hits like "On the Floor" featuring Pitbull and fan favorites "I'm Into You" and "Papi."

Now, Lopez is excited to present the new track, describing it as "a beautiful song about this kind of duality. It’s this happy dance song, and these are the things that are the proof of love. One of them is pain and grief when someone's gone. You feel pain and grief. That's really proof of love. I wanted to make that a happy thing.

I wanted to make that a marker instead of this devastating thing." Fans can pre-order the three vinyl editions, which will be released in November on an undisclosed date. Meanwhile, Lopez is set to perform at The JLo Show: Live in Las Vegas on Thanksgiving night, airing on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
