ISCA partners with VNICG creating Singapore Vietnam corporate director network

The Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants partnered with the Vietnam Institute of Directors to establish a cross border leadership network for bilateral corporate governance training and director exchanges

As Singapore and Vietnam work to strengthen their economic partnerships, the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) and the Vietnam Institute of Corporate Governance (VNICG) have teamed up to create a corporate director network. This collaboration aims to bring together directors from both countries to share knowledge, experiences, and develop international perspectives.

ISCA and VNICG will explore joint board leadership programmes, professional exchanges, and networking activities, drawing on the strengths of both organisations. ISCA brings its expertise in board governance, financial oversight, and risk management, while VNICG contributes its knowledge of Vietnam’s business environment and corporate governance practices.

The partnership will formalise a new Independent Director dual programme, combining Singapore’s board governance practices with Vietnam’s regulatory and business environment. Beyond formal education, the initiative seeks to encourage professional relationships and the exchange of ideas on topics like business strategy, sustainability, and emerging technologies.

Pang Te Cheng, Consul-General of Singapore in Ho Chi Minh City, highlighted the importance of corporate governance and professional capabilities in Vietnam’s development. Fann Kor, CEO of ISCA, emphasized the need for a connected community of internationally-minded directors who can navigate the complexities of the modern business landscape.

Hoang Duc Hung, President of VNICG, noted that the partnership will help Vietnamese directors gain a broader international perspective as their businesses expand globally. The collaboration was officially signed at the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange on October 27, 2026.
