Inter Milan XI vs Venezia – Predicted lineup and team news

Inter Milan are set to face Venezia in an upcoming Serie A fixture, aiming to maintain their position at the top of the league table. The defending champions boast an unbeaten run in the league, having secured seven victories and one draw in seven matches. Inter Milan's attack remains the strongest in Serie A, with 23 goals scored this season. Cristian Chivu's side have triumphed in four of their last five games across all competitions, including a last-minute winner against Fiorentina in a dramatic 2-1 comeback victory.

However, Inter Milan face a challenge as Lautaro Martinez is ruled out due to a hamstring injury, leaving the team without a regular striker. Chivu's squad is also missing several key players, with Benjamin Pavard, John Stones, and Curtis Jones all sidelined while working towards full fitness. Additionally, wing-back Luis Henrique will be absent until the November international break due to an adductor strain.

To navigate this rotation, Marcus Thuram may be kept on the bench, potentially allowing young attackers Pio Esposito and Ange Bonny to play in an altered 3-5-2 formation.

The match between Inter Milan and Venezia is scheduled to kick off at 5:30pm BST on Wednesday, 28th October. UK viewers can catch the action live on DAZN.
