Inter leave it late again in Serie A as Bologna sink AC Milan
Inter Milan reclaimed the top spot with a nervy 2-0 win at bottom side Venezia while AC Milan suffered their first league defeat of the season in a 4-2 loss.
Inter Milan returned to the top of the Serie A table with a 2-0 victory over Venezia, while Bologna secured a 4-2 win over AC Milan at the San Siro, marking the Italian side's first league defeat of the season. Inter's win keeps them tied with Lazio at the top with 25 points, ahead of a highly anticipated Milan derby clash on Saturday.
Inter's coach, Cristian Chivu, acknowledged the team's unconvincing performance, admitting that they needed to regain mental and physical energy before the crucial match. A hattrick from Samuel Mbangula propelled Bologna to victory, with a timely goal from Mbangula and another from the same player in the second half completing the win.
