Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has implored the region's youth to maintain their grassroots mobilisation efforts in solidarity with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections. This plea came after the inauguration of 528 Tinubu ambassadors at Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano, aimed at bolstering the movement's grassroots network and broadening its outreach during door-to-door campaigns.
The ambassadors are tasked with engaging community members, galvanizing young and female voters, and raising awareness about the movement's goals in preparation for the upcoming elections. Governor Yusuf emphasized the ambassadors' commitment to their duties, the necessity of regular contact with the grassroots, and the promotion of peaceful political involvement.
He also underscored the significance of safeguarding voters' preferences through lawful means throughout the electoral process. The Governor affirmed his backing for President Tinubu's re-election bid, urging the ambassadors to persist in their mobilization and deepen their engagement with Kano State's communities.
