Everything But The Girl, the iconic UK duo comprising married couple Tracey Thorn and Ben Watt, has returned with a new album, Blue Reservoir, after a prolonged hiatus. The album is inspired by their recent performances at the MOTH Club in London, which reignited the creative spark for the duo. The lead single from the album, "Young And Dumb," showcases Thorn's raspy voice as she sings about the allure of youthful carefree days and the wisdom gained with age.
Featuring a soft acoustic arrangement with a bossa nova rhythm, the song draws from Latin music and English folk influences. The video for "Young And Dumb" was directed by Edward Bishop and filmed at the MOTH Club, offering an intimate performance of the song. The album, set to release on February 19 on Buzzin Fly/Virgin, reflects the band's return to their roots and their ability to create emotionally resonant music.
