Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Patch Makes It Impossible to Get a Nuke in Free-for-All

The latest patch for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has sparked outrage among players due to its restrictions on obtaining a tactical nuke in the Free-for-All multiplayer mode. According to Infinity Ward, the game developer, they have implemented two modifications to Free-for-All in the game. First, players can only enter Free-for-All matches with one friend in their party.

Second, the score needed to win a Free-for-All match has been lowered from 30 kills to 25 kills. These changes were made alongside the reduction of the game's party size limit to just one friend.

The primary concern for players is that these adjustments prevent them from earning a 100% completion for the game. The Calling Card "Ground Zero" necessitates players to secure a tactical nuke through a Free-for-All match, but the lowered score cap of 25 kills makes it impossible to achieve this objective, as players require 30 consecutive kills without dying to obtain the nuke.

Infinity Ward has not disclosed whether they plan to adjust the requirement for a nuke in Free-for-All or change the Calling Card to something more attainable. These alterations come after an increase in account boosting within Free-for-All, where players teaming up with three friends exploited the system to farm each other for the nuke, negatively impacting the overall gaming experience.

While these updates should theoretically curb such practices, players are understandably frustrated with the sudden modifications to the game. The sentiment expressed in the comments following the announcement is predominantly negative, suggesting that Infinity Ward may need to reconsider the decision or make further adjustments to address player dissatisfaction. This news emerged just after the addition of Shipment, one of Call of Duty's most legendary maps, to Modern Warfare 4.
