JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA – On October 27, BAIC FOTON officially opened its Africa Regional Training Center, coinciding with the BAIC FOTON Africa Partners Conference. The 900-square-meter facility, located in South Africa and serving the entire continent, is designed to equip local talent and enhance service capabilities for the expanding African lineup.
CEO Lu Zhenghua, International President Wu Zongtian, and other leaders, alongside local partners, attended the inauguration. The center's 450 square meters each dedicated to theoretical and practical training, combined with five practical zones, will support training across BAIC FOTON's product range and job roles. Since early 2026, the company has conducted nearly 100 specialized training sessions in key markets, focusing on translating technical standards into practical skills for frontline diagnostic and repair tasks.
The center aims to bolster the regional operating system, improve coordination among product supply, after-sales support, and talent development, while fostering deeper localization and promoting high-quality growth across Africa.
