AMVR’s new head strap is my favorite way to keep cool with a Meta Quest 3 or 3S

The upgraded AMVR BS1 head strap has been declared the most comfortable cooling head strap for Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S devices by a reporter. The new head strap offers improved ergonomics, a built-in fan, magnetic rechargeable batteries, and a breathable mesh top support for ultimate comfort.

The AMVR BS1 utilizes a breathable forehead pad attached to the support bar via magnets. This pad houses an adjustable-speed fan that can be easily modified using the recessed wheel on the right side of the head strap. This fan helps regulate sweat and prevents lens fog, common issues that can be bothersome during extended VR sessions.

Powered by a magnetically detachable, rechargeable 8,800mAh battery pack, the fan and cooling system ensure that weight distribution across the headset is even. This charging battery pack also adds roughly 4 hours of extra playtime to the Meta Quest 3 or 3S. Additional battery packs can be purchased for longer sessions if necessary.

The AMVR BS1 boasts ample padding around the headset, with each piece easily removable and washable. This feature ensures cleanliness and tidiness, particularly if the headset is shared with others. The back of the head strap cradles the skull with a blend of supple padding and grippy silicone, providing a secure fit while preventing the headset from shifting forward and applying pressure to the cheeks.

For those who may prefer a non-fan option, the BoboVR M3 Pro+ is slightly more comfortable but lacks a fan, which could be a significant drawback. Once a head strap has been selected, an AMVR FC4M face pad can further enhance comfort. This face pad attaches to the Meta Quest 3 (not the Quest 3S) via magnets and is made of breathable material that is easy to clean. Like the forehead pad, this face pad keeps the headset cool in any season, offering a more comfortable VR experience overall.
