The “Digital Ghost” festival, featuring dialogue with AI, robot performances, and more, opens its doors. The Culture, Sports, and Tourism Ministry in collaboration with the Arts Management Support Center announces the ‘2026 Art Korea Lab AI-Fusion Festival’ taking place from November 4 to 8 at Space S-50 in Seongsu-dong, Seoul and Art Korea Lab in Jongno-gu.

The theme is ‘Sense the Body’, highlighting the interaction between AI and robotics with human bodies and senses. National and international artists and experts participate in 24 exhibitions and 8 performances, along with conferences, talks, and meetings with art startups. On Day 4, famous author Lee Dong-wook, known for works that shape capitalism into a sculpture inside a jar of soy sauce, performs a show titled ‘The Moon and the Restful Ground’.

A conference by experts in AI, interaction design, and art takes place from Day 4 to 6, discussing the impact of AI on art and industry. Exhibition pieces include ‘WikiMirror’ by Andreas Lepsgard and Sophie Burge Torssen, where visitors can converse with their digital replica, and works by No Ji-ah and I Ta-yeon exploring the interaction between humans and robots.

Musicians such as Morits Simon Gait and the open studio with 20 company studios opening for five days offer a glimpse into the experiments and technical achievements of artists and companies. The Open AI Art Hackathon and audience-participation programs are also set to take place. Art management center representative Park Myeong-ho expects this festival to serve as a catalyst for creative attempts and technical achievements to expand into the industry.

All programs are free for the public, and further details can be found on the Art Korea Lab’s website.
