Add buttons to your Kindle with Amazons new Page Turn Cover: Our review

Amazon has introduced a new accessory called the Kindle Page Turn Cover, designed to enhance the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition and Colorsoft Signature Edition e-readers. This cover offers a unique feature - a pair of customizable buttons for navigating the text. The cover, priced at $79.99, is compatible with the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition and Colorsoft Signature Edition models, providing a protective case while adding convenient page-turn functionality.

Setting up the cover is straightforward; simply insert your Kindle into the case, and it's ready for use. The cover connects to the device via pogo pins, located at the back, without requiring any battery or charging. The two buttons on the cover can be customized in the Kindle settings to function as the page-turn controls. Interestingly, the orientation of the buttons adjusts automatically when you rotate your Kindle to read with your opposite hand, ensuring consistent functionality.

The case features an automatic wake/sleep function, which activates the screen when the cover is opened and puts it to sleep when closed. It also snaps shut magnetically, preserving the display's state. When rotating the Kindle to use it with your opposite hand, the cover maintains the same button orientation, preserving the ease of use.

The press release highlights the seamless connectivity of the Kindle Page Turn Cover, emphasizing its compatibility with the Kindle Signature Edition models and the immediate usability of the buttons once the cover is in place. The accessory was praised for its ease of use, following the seamless connectivity model of popular products like AirPods.

The setup was described as a quick and hassle-free process, with the buttons immediately ready for use after customization. The reviewer expressed satisfaction with the cover's performance, noting its effectiveness regardless of the reading hand used.
