Accra hosts special screening of ‘Dedicate’ featuring Ghana’s Favour Okeke
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints screens ‘Dedicate’ episode in Accra.
On Saturday, 24 October 2026, a special screening of the fourth episode of "Dedicate," a global video series exploring faith in Jesus Christ, took place in Accra. The episode, featuring Ghana's Favour Okeke, attracted hundreds of attendees to the Christiansborg Stake Center, located within the Accra Ghana Temple in North Ridge. Favour, a young adult from Ghana's Greater Accra Region, shared her personal story and reflections on the role of faith in her life.
The episode, released a day before its worldwide debut on the Church's YouTube channel, takes viewers inside the Salt Lake Temple during its extensive renovation. With 700-800 construction workers present daily, the temple's engineering measures include 98 base isolators and 262 miles of cables, designed to maintain stability during earthquakes.
The episode draws parallels between the temple's structural resilience and the foundations of Christian faith, emphasizing that even with imperfections, one can always return to God's reach. Favour expressed that participating in the series was a privilege and an honor, adding that it strengthened her faith.
